Summer Solstice presentation at the V-Bar-V Heritage Site Friends of the Forest stewards will be presenting the program and sharing their local cultural site expertise.The V Bar V Cultural site is located southwest of Sedona in the Beaver Creek area just east of I-17 and Exit 298, drive 3 miles east on Forest Road 618 to the V Bar V entrance gate. For those of you who may not be familiar with the V-Bar-V Heritage Site, the site was acquired in 1994 by the Coconino National Forest, and is one of the most well preserved and largest petroglyph sites in the Verde Valley. The petroglyphs that you see at this site are identified as the Beaver Creek Style. This rock art is truly amazing and the information gathered at this site has helped to define important characteristics of the Beaver Creek Style.
