Best Western PLUS Inn of Sedona
“Good Eats” at Hideaway Restaurant
By: Amanda Baker
As a concierge at the Inn of Sedona, I do my best to find the best of Sedona tours, attractions, fun things to do and great places to dine. When looking for a restaurant for our guests, or for myself and family, I look for a place that offers a variety of flavors, friendly service, reasonable pricing and a family friendly atmosphere. With that in mind I had a lovely dinner last night, and I wanted to share my experience with you.
Very good friends of mine had come in from California with their children, and dinner time was coming up quickly. Needing something family-friendly and affordable, we decided on the Hideaway Restaurant. We arrived early, and were seated right away on their outdoor patio. The cool breeze and the sound of the creek lent to the relaxing atmosphere as we waited for our meal; the perfect place to catch up and relax after a long day of swimming and hiking. Dinner arrived promptly, pizza for the kids, and salads for the adults. The smoked turkey antipasto salad ranks high on my list of favorites, loaded with fresh veggies, mozzarella cheese, various legumes and the most amazing Italian dressing I’ve ever tasted. Their famous cheese bread on the side compliments the dish perfectly. While I didn’t try the pizza, the kids polished it off quickly, asking for more. The service was accommodating and anticipative, and the patio guitarist was a welcome addition. We would be hard-pressed to find such an excellent meal in Sedona, and at such a value, too. My friends were very impressed, and have already planned their return visit this week.
The Hideaway Restaurant receives a definite two thumbs up from me, especially if you are looking for a place to relax with family and friends, enjoy a good meal and walk away with your wallet still intact.
