The Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour receptions and exhibits give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene.
Below you will find a few of the exhibits and receptions taking place during the First Friday Gallery Tour, to see a full listing of participating galleries please visit the Sedona Gallery Association. For your convenience, the Sedona Trolley provides free transportation to venture from art gallery to art gallery. We also offer our guest free shuttle service to uptown Sedona and the Tlaquepaque Arts and Craft Village. All of the exhibits and artist receptions for 1st Friday run from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

“Color Galore at Sedona Arts Center”
This October, experience the vibrant fall exhibition “Color Galore” at Sedona Arts Center’s Fine Art Gallery in Uptown Sedona! As the leaves change and the sky clears, artists Kathryn Willis, Susan Moody, Jullie Ronning Talbot, Komala Rohde and Luna Patterson share their unique perspective and abundant colors in this brilliant show. This month’s artists were chosen to represent the beautiful changing season, stunning skies and vibrant colors that October brings to Sedona. Each artist uses vivid colors in all their works.

Bill Rane Retrospective & Bonnie Burkee Intaglio
This October’s Lanning Gallery is excited to celebrate the inspiration of life-long artistic pursuits. A long illustrious career led to an international reputation for famed Taos artist Bill Rane (1927-2005). With few original paintings still available, the gallery is pleased to welcome Rane’s longtime wife, Judith, who will be on- hand to answer questions about works in this rare exhibition, including oils and watercolors on canvas and a limited number of giclees.
“Cowboys & Indians”show
Join the Goldenstein Gallery in celebration their 8th Annual “Cowboys & Indians”show! This celebration of the American West continues the tradition of featuring internationally renowned and emerging, contemporary Native American and Western Artists. “Cowboys and Indians” opens with a reception for the artists on October 5th from 5:00 -8:00 pm including live western music by local favorites Frost and Frost.

“Celebrate Our Local Artists” at Rowe Fine Art Gallery
Gallery owners Ken and Monica Rowe are both Arizona natives, and they have called Sedona home for nearly 20 years. The duo have a unique appreciation for local artists, which is why they are devoting October to celebrating the talented men and women who create their art right here in Red Rock Country. During the Sedona Gallery Association’s 1st Friday Gallery Tour, make Rowe Fine Art your first stop and meet some of the most talented artists living in northern Arizona.

Treasures of The Mummy’s Bundle Trunk Show
Visitors and residents of our Southwest region may have seen images of black and white striped “koshares,” sacred clown figures in Puebloan cultures, and not firmly understood what they are. If that’s the case, a visit to Turquoise Tortoise Gallery during September’s “1st Friday” gives visitors the opportunity to meet clay artist Randall Chitto who captures all their glory in his figures as “Randall Chitto: Sacred Clowns” opens.

Enjoy the fall evening in Jerome during the October 6th first Saturday Art Walk. Once again, the magical mountain town will be hosting a night filled with art, music and refreshments galore. With 22 participating galleries and studios and many sponsoring businesses and restaurants offering specials, this is a festive night in Jerome.
