“Sedona’s Holiday Tree Lighting & Santa Visit”
November 30th, 2012
Santa will be making a special visit to Sedona, Arizona on Friday November 30th when the Sedona Main Street Program presents “Holiday Tree Lighting and Santa Visit” in Uptown Sedona!
Your family will be filled with holiday cheer when Sedona’s twenty foot holiday tree lights up and holiday caroling fills the air. And lets not forget the very special visit from the one and only Santa Claus who will arrive not by reindeer but on Sedona’s Historic Fire Engine No. 1, courtesy of the Sedona Heritage Museum, along with a special Sedona Police Department escort.
Children of all ages will have the opportunity to spend individual time with Santa and tell him their hopes and dreams for this holiday season and the coming year. Sacks of treats for each child will be provided courtesy of the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, with help from Santa’s elves. Make sure to bring along your own camera to capture your child’s special moment.
As the youngsters visit with Santa, you’ll hear the sweet sounds of local young talent in their complementary performances. Listen for a unique rendition of your holiday favorites from the Trash Pail Kids/Garbage Can Band and a wide array of songs by the Ambassadors of Peace, vocal students of West Sedona & Big Park Elementary Schools, generously coordinated and directed by Jeanie Carroll. Then the Desert Star Community School Choir will perform as arranged and directed by Deborah Williams. All the while, you can enjoy hot beverages and mini-muffins courtesy of Canyon Breeze Restaurant.
If you are a guest on the Inn of Sedona we will be more than happy to drop you off and pick you up from the event in our free “About Town Sedona Shuttle“.
