On December 19, 2008, Tim DeChristopher, as Bidder #70, derailed the Bush Administration’s last minute, widely disputed federal BLM Oil and Gas lease auction, effectively safeguarding thousands of acres of pristine Utah land surrounding Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Dinosaur National Monument. Bidding $1.7 million, Tim won 22,000 acres of land.

Carbon Nation
Carbon Nation is a feature length documentary about climate change solutions. Even if you doubt the severity of the impact of climate change or just don’t buy it at all, this is a compelling and relevant film that illustrates how solutions to climate change also address other social, economic and national security issues.

Chasing Ice
Chasing Ice is the story of one man’s mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet. Within months of that first trip to Iceland, the photographer conceived the boldest expedition of his life: The Extreme Ice Survey. With a band of young adventurers in tow, Balog began deploying revolutionary time-lapse cameras across the brutal Arctic to capture a multi-year record of the world’s changing glaciers.

Go Ganges
Set in a stunning background of colorful landscapes, Go Ganges! captures the danger, joy and significance of the mighty Ganges River. The adventurers provide a colorful testimony to the distress the river endures, and why it merits reprieve as an irreplaceable emblem. On the heels of this daring expedition you will encounter the unspeakable and the divine.

Mission Of Mermaids - Short 15 minutes
Mission of Mermaids reflects the current state of the ocean. The director, Susan Rockefeller, takes a radically personal approach in the film, based on her deep love and concern for the seas. She invokes a mythical and spiritual connection, using the metaphor of the mermaid, as well as describing dire facts: ocean acidification, over-fishing, and pollution.

Pad Yatra- A Green Odyssey
Battling the harshest mountain terrain on the planet, the trekkers move village to village to educate locals on environmental preservation and living responsibly. Surviving injuries, illness, and starvation, the trekkers emerge with 800 lbs of plastic waste collected on their backs, having ignited an environmental movement never before seen in the Himalay

Valley Of Saints
Widely considered to be the crown jewel of Kashmir, Dal Lake is a sprawling aquatic community where erupting political violence often distracts from the natural beauty. When Asifa’s research reveals harmful pollutants, Gulzar realizes that the ecology of the lake and an entire way of life face an alarming threat, and everything in his own life begins to take on a new hue.
