Outdoor Laser Light Show and Concert in the Park

All of us here at the Best Western PLUS Inn of Sedona are ready to celebrate Independence Day with the “Outdoor Laser Light Show and Concert in the Park” taking place tomorrow at the Sedona Red Rock High School. For those of you who are going to be visiting the Cottonwood area there will be a 4th of July Fireworks show taking place at the Cottonwood Kids Park at 12th Street and Cherry in Cottonwood.

Spectators will be allowed onto the field at 6:30 pm to enjoy a live concert and delicious food. This year’s concert features well-known country singer David Parker & the Big! Shondra Jepperson, half of the popular Sedona entertainment duo Tom & Shondra, is schedule to be this year’s emcee. There will also be special guest performances by Karla Bonner, Julia Koss, and Bella Rosa, this year’s 2013 Sedona Sunrise Superstar Contest winners. When the sun goes down Day Star Lasers International will dazzle audiences at this outdoor, thirty-minute laser spectacular. Multi-colored lasers choreographed to patriotic music will create an exciting show for people of all ages.
If you are a guest of the Inn of Sedona, don’t worry about parking for this event, take advantage of our Complimentary “About Town” Sedona shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up. If you prefer to drive yourself, parking will be available at the high school as well as across the street on Cultural Park Place. Cottonwood’s “4th of July Fireworks show”
Come down, enjoy the day, have a picnic, listen to the music and partake in the activities that the Cottonwood Parks and Recreation Department has put together for you and your family! The fun begins at 4:00 pm with kids games, a giant water slide, inflatable rides and a watermelon eating contests. Free food will be provided courtesy of Fry’s Food & Drug and prepared by the Knights of Columbus from 4:00 pm until about 6:oo pm. Wrist bands will also be available for purchase on site for access to the kids games. At 7:45 the countdown begins for Northern Arizona’s finest fireworks display. There will be music, presentations, and a patriotic salute by the VFW Color Guard. At 8:45 pm find a place, grab a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a spectacular 35-minute light show full of booms and ahhs. The fireworks display over the Fair Grounds is free.
