Don’t miss one of Sedona’s favorite Award-winning photographers Susie Reed during the Keep Sedona Beautiful Speaker Series on Wednesday, September 11th, 2013! Local artist Susie Reed will delight attendees with her amazing rock art photos, tales of colorful adventures and stories of how her passion for archaeology led her to become a major force in Southwest rock art preservation. By all accounts Reed’s photos are just stunning. The evening will begin at 5:30 pm at the historic Pushmataha Center on 360 Brewer Road in Sedona., with complimentary offerings of appetizers donated by El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano and refreshments provided by KSB. The presentation will begin at 5:45 pm.
About Photographer Susie Reed
Award-winning photographer Susie Reed’s work has been exhibited in major museums and galleries including the Cooper Hewitt Museum, the De Young Museum, the International Museum of Photography and elsewhere. In Sedona she’s been showing at Goldenstein Gallery since 2009. This acclaimed gallery was voted the city’s top gallery for the last six years. Reed’s photos have been in many publications and on an array of products, including several photographic calendars. She’s a popular writer and speaker and a generous teacher who offers clear guidance to all levels of photographers. She takes people on photo, rock art and ancient site tours in Sedona and beyond and teaches photography privately, for various groups, schools, camera clubs and online. Among the places she’s taught and spoken are California College of the Arts, San Francisco Art Institute, the Sedona Arts Center and Sedona Photofest, where she was also head of their photo contest.
