There is Festival of Trees at Tlaquepaque, “Light up the Mountain” in Jerome, Ice Skating at Posse Grounds Park in Sedona, Santa Clause Express on the Verde Canyon Railroad and more! See below for all the fun events taking place from Thursday, November 28th through Sunday, December 1st, 2013. You will also find a restaurant listing for great places to dine on Thanksgiving and a special brunch taking place at the Schoolhouse Restaurant on Saturday, November 30th! Holiday Events over Thanksgiving Weekend

Festival of Trees at Tlaquepaque
Festival of trees Enjoy Holiday Fun Thanksgiving Weekend in Sedona, ArizonaNovember 29th – December 7th, 2013
Area artists and galleries will have over 45 Christmas trees and Gingerbread houses fully decorated in fun and exquisite ways. The trees all have different themes and incorporate different materials.The trees will be on display inside the ballroom at Tlaquepaque accompanied with silent auction bid sheets. Viewers may visit Tlaquepaque and check their bids through 4:00 pm. on Saturday, December 7th. Proceeds benefit “Meals on Wheels” for the Sedona Community Center and “Toys for Tot’s” via the Sedona Marine Corps League.For more information please visit Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village.

Light up the Mountain – Jerome, Arizona

Jerome holiday Enjoy Holiday Fun Thanksgiving Weekend in Sedona, ArizonaCcelebrate with Jerome as they kick off their holiday season with their special event “Light up the Mountain”! The fun starts in the afternoon through the evening when a very special visitors flips the switch that lights up the annual holiday lights in the middle park of Jerome. The Mingus Union High School Band and Drama Club will be performing through out the day and at 5:30, a special reading of The Night Before Christmas will be taking place at the historic Bartlett Hotel. Ice Skating in Sedona

Check it out, for the first time ever you can ice skate at Posse Ground Park! What you didn’t bring Ice Skate to Sedona, no problem, Skates are available in sizes toddler 8 through adult 13. Sedona Heritage Museum Enjoy Holiday Fun Thanksgiving Weekend in Sedona, ArizonaThe Sedona Heritage Museum’s volunteers will have an activity area set-up where you and your friends and family can create clever and nostalgic holiday ornaments. Supplies, instructions and samples will be provided. Get into the holiday spirit with these simple, old-time crafty projects. Take home what you make for your own decorations or maybe as a gift. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from December 1st through the 22nd, the train pulls away from the depot with two VIEs (Very Important Elves) aboard. Santa and Mrs. Claus entertain passengers throughout the four-hour rail journey, singing carols, passing out Mrs. Claus’ homemade cookies and helping you create priceless photo memories.
