Sedona’s 1st Friday Evening in the Galleries
September 4th, 2015
The Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour receptions and exhibits give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene and in many cases meeting the artist themselves. Sedona Entertainment – Sir Harrison and the Blues Kings
September 4th, 2015 (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm)
Harrison Begay was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, is full blooded Navajo (Dine’). His passion for blues music and the guitar have been the driving force in his quest for artistry. He started playing music at the age of eight. The clarinet being his first instrument. It would not be until the early years of high school that Harrison would pick up his first guitar. Sir Harrison’s music and stage performance has attracted a broad audience. His guitar playing is straight from the soul. He’s been compared to Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Cray, but Sir Harrison’s guitar playing has his own unique sound. His current band, “Sir Harrison and the Blues Kings,” was formed in 2004 in Flagstaff, Arizona. For more information please visit Sound Bites Grill.

Red Rock State Park – Guided Bird Walk
September 5th, 2015 (8:00 am)
Bird enthusiasts can join a naturalist for a “Guided Bird Walk”. Beginning as well as advanced birders are welcome. Rangers recommend that visitors bring their own binoculars. A limited number are available for loan from the Park. No matter the time of day, visitors can check out the many birds who make Red Rock State Park their home. The bird-feeding area behind the visitor center, on the Hummingbird Patio, is an excellent spot to start your tour or to take pictures.For more information on this Sedona hike please visit Red Rock State Park.

Red Rock Music Festival – Sedona Concerts
September 5th – 6th, 2015
Sedona Tickets: $28 per concert or $48 for both
The Red Rocks Music Festival educates, engages and challenges audiences through a unique collaboration of musicians from leading Arizona performing arts organizations and world acclaimed artists. There will be two concert in Sedona at the Sedona Creative Live Center.

Jerome Art Walk

Twenty-five galleries and studios will be welcoming visitors with beautiful art, music and refreshments. From blown glass to lovely jewelry, there is a treasure to be found for everyone! From the working studios of The Old Jerome High School to the lovely pottery of Made in Jerome, the true handmade Jerome touch is everywhere. A free shuttle runs throughout the town during the event. Sedona Jazz at the Church presents Floote Prints Quintet, with flutists Mike Crotty and Joe Corral, bassist Dwight Kilian, drummer Ryan Anthony and pianist Armand Boatman. Saint Luke’s Church is the home of SJATC, and is located in the Chapel area of Sedona, on Highway 179 between the Back O’ Beyond and Chapel Road roundabouts.
