This is going to be a busy weekend and we would like to take a moment to remind all of our guests about our “Complimentary About Town Shuttle”. Take the hassle of driving and finding parking out of the equation this weekend, let us do the driving. We have a central drop off point in Uptown and we also go to the most popular Sedona hot spots including: Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, Hillside Galleries, West Sedona dining and more! This free shuttle service is available to all our guests from 8:00 am until last pick up at 9:30 pm. The Shuttle leaves the hotel every half hour. Have a great weekend!

13th Annual Sedona Plein Air Festival

Our community’s iconic creative event, Sedona Plein Air Festival is a week-long celebration of extraordinary landscapes, world-renowned artists, unique workshops, and wonderful free events! Sedona Arts Center invites you along to get creative and experience over two dozen master painters in action making their art on location in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. Ales on Rails at the Verde Canyon Railroad
October 19th – 22nd, 2017

There are parties and shindigs and then there is Oktoberfest! Of course Verde Canyon Railroad never misses out on a good time so they roll out their popular Ales on Rails every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October. The party starts at 11:00 am on the depot patio with a mouthwatering luncheon ($11) of German sausages, sauerkraut, potato salad, pretzels and strudel, all served to the rhythmic tunes of a polka serenade. A $10 logo beer glass comes with five beer tastings. The 1:00 p.m. train whistle signals the continuation of the party as it moves onto the rails with specialty beers served on board, including Verde Canyon Railroad’s own private-labeled brews, crafted in Sedona by the renowned Oak Creek Brewery. Fall Arts & Crafts Fair

The Fall Arts & Crafts Show at the Sedona Heritage Museum has always been a favorite of mine. Unique arts and crafts by local people. Jewelry, ceramics, gourd art, fine art, fiber arts, clothing & home décor, cards, woodcarvings, stained glass & glass art, birdhouses, lotions & potions, lawn art, gifts, candles and more! Fall Festival at Slide Rock State Park

Come celebrate the fall in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon at the Slide Rock State Park Fall Festival. This event is presented by Arizona State Parks, the Friends of Slide Rock and volunteers. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day with exhibits and demonstrations, wild plants of Slide Rock State Park, kid’s activities at the Junior Ranger Station, tractors and flywheelers. Montezuma Castle National Monument
Jerry Whagado Silversmith Demonstration

Montezuma Castle National Monument will host monthly demonstrations by two-time award winner of the Santa Fe Indian Market “Best in Show”, Jerry Whagado. Of Western Apache descent, Mr. Whagado was raised on the Hopi Mesas. His jewelry combines Hopi silver overlay with Apache designs and symbolism. The demonstrations will be from 10am-1pm on the first Saturday of each month, through December of 2017. Red Rocks Oktoberfest

Tickets: $10 online, $15 at the gate
The Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks will be hosting the Red Rocks Oktoberfest at the Posse Grounds Park in West Sedona. This semi-traditional German celebration of the harvest season features 12+ craft brewers showcasing their finest beers. Entry fee gets you into the gate to the party with live music, food trucks and lots of craft beer vendors. Beers will be only $3 each and will be 7oz. samplers. 21 and over ONLY if you plan on having a beer. Minors are allowed entry if accompanied by parents or legal guardians. If you are a guest of the Inn of Sedona we will be more than happy to drop you off and pick you up from this event in our Complimentary “About Town” Guest Shuttle. Annual Celebraciones de la Gente :: A Lively Celebration of the Day of the Dead

Celebrate Mexican cultural traditions at the 14th Annual Celebraciones de la Gente, a lively Day of the Dead festival. Rooted in community, this weekend-long event is presented in partnership with Flagstaff’s Nuestras Raices. Don’t miss fine art and unique crafts, music and dancing, colorful and elaborate ofrendas (altars), insightful heritage programs and Day of the Dead inspired crafts for the kids. Red Rock State Park: Guided Ethnobotany of Sedona Hike
October 22nd, 2017 (1:00 pm)

Learning more about the native plants and trees here in the Sedona area is a great way to enhance any hike. Our volunteer guides explain how plant life is interconnected with indigenous cultures, pioneer settlers, people in our contemporary time and wildlife. This interpretive experience is for both the beginner and experienced hiker, lasting between 2-2.5 hours with an elevation gain of 250 feet. Please bring water and wear suitable footwear.
