This is a shout out to all the ghosts, goblins, tricksters, witches and ghouls who are ready to have some Halloween fun in Sedona, Arizona. There are some fun Halloween themed events to get you in a hauntingly good mood for Halloween. On October 25th be entertained with Haunted History tales at the Sedona Heritage Museum, and for all those in my age group get ready for a blast from the past when the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show comes to the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on October 30th! Halloween night the kiddos can enjoy safe and fun trick or treat in Uptown Sedona! Not only will there be treats but entertainment the whole family will enjoy. Then, for the grownups, there is going to be an awesome Halloween Party taking place at Olde Sedona Bar and Grill featuring Fire Dancers at dusk and live entertainment. What are you waiting for. Take a walk on the spooky side and head to Sedona, AZ for a crazy fun time.

“Haunted History” with Michael Peach
October 25th, 2014 (3:00 pm)
The Sedona Heritage Museum presents Michael Peach in a special and spooky performance of Haunted History! Spend an autumn afternoon at the Museum and hear ghostly tales – some of which have their origins right in our own back yard! Peach will share true stories about ghostly encounters. Also on the play bill are four of Mike’s original poems: Little Bill, about the unsolved alleged murder of Bill Fredricks at the Van Deren cabin; The Hauntings of the Red Ghost, a true story about a 19th Century Arizona monster; The Cactus Killer, a true story of murder and revenge in the Arizona desert; and The Ghosts of Wilson Canyon, based on the death of bear hunter Richard Wilson in 1885. Just in time for Halloween: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”! The outrageous cultural phenomenon that has been a hit with movie lovers for nearly four decades — returns to the big screen in Sedona. The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the return one-night- only engagement for two shows at the festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Feel free to dress in costume and come dance, sing along and do the time warp with other Rocky Horror fans! Relive Richard O’Brien’s sinfully twisted salute to horror, sci-fi, B-movies and rock music — a “sensual daydream to treasure forever”! 28th Annual Safe & Fun Trick or Treat
October 31st, 2014 (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
Calling all ghost, witches, ghouls and goblins, you are invited to enjoy a safe and fun trick or treat in Uptown Sedona along “Main Street” (N. SR 89A & Hyatt Shops)! There will be dance performances and more taking place on Jordan Road adjacent to SR 89A crosswalk, courtesy of Martha Edwards and community dancers. At 5:30 in the Canyon Breeze Plaza, there will be a Costume Contest for 3 age categories plus groups/couples.
