Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour and Jerome Art Walk

September is here bringing blue skies and cooler weather to Sedona, Arizona making it the perfect time to enjoy the special art exhibits during Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour on September 5th and the Jerome Art Walk on the 6th!

Below you will find a few of the exhibits and receptions taking place during the First Friday Gallery Tour, to see a full listing of participating galleries please visit the Sedona Gallery Association on Facebook. For your convenience, the Sedona Trolley provides free transportation to venture from art gallery to art gallery. If you are staying at the Best Western PLUS Inn of Sedona, we also offer our guest free shuttle service to uptown Sedona and the Tlaquepaque Arts and Craft Village. All of the exhibits and artist receptions for 1st Friday run from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

“Earth Spirits”Sedona Arts Center
Come explore the rich and engaging art that is not only grounded to the earth with the materials the artists’ use, but also in the final work they create. Mary Flaisig weaves flowing fiber structure wall-hangings, Jeffrey Perkins molds clay with his hands creating unique pottery, Joan Roberts creates jewelry based on items from nature and David Haskell and Jane Roberts interpret the landscapes they see on canvas. “Beyond Tradition Show”
Goldenstein GalleryJoin the Goldenstein Gallery for their “Beyond Tradition” Show. Several of the renowned artists in their gallery are innovative in their styles and use of mediums and in some way have taken their art Beyond Tradition. Among the Gallery artists whose work will be featured in this show include painters Karyl Bennett, Keith Schall, Sherab Khandro, Allen Powell, and sculptors Kevin McCarthy, Mike Medow and Glendon Good. This event is a great time for Ken Rowe collectors and fans to salute the artist and the efforts of artists everywhere. This event showcases Ken’s wildlife bronze art as well as his adventure-filled career. Join the gallery for the first public tribute to one of Southwest’s premiere bronze sculptors. Mountain Trails Gallery – Stories from the West in Painting and Sculpture
Mountain TrailsIntriguing historical accounts and spirited renditions from the American West will be featured in the art work by master storytellers Steven Lang of Cherokee and Pawnee descent, artifact painter Lisa Danielle, tribal traditions painter Vicki Catapano, mountain man artist Dan Deuter, and cowboy and cowgirl ways painters Don Weller, Marcia Molnar, and Sarah Phippen. Also featured are historical and cultural stories in the bronze sculpture of Vic Payne, Dustin Payne, Michael Trcic, Susan Kliewer, Ed Yazzi, and Deon Duncan. Turquoise GalleryTurquoise Tortoise Gallery is pleased to welcome the gifted artist Sharon Brening to Sedona for a special artist reception to kick off its exciting Autumn Season.
