Christmas sedonaWe would like to take a moment to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah from our family here at the Best Western Plus Inn of Sedona to yours! We will be taking a short holiday break from our blog this week, but before we sign out for the holidays we wanted to share with you some family fun events and live entertainment taking place this week! From Red Rock Fantasy to a special screening of the Polar Express at Tlaquepaque you will find something for everyone in your family to enjoy!

For all of our guests that will be staying with us over the Christmas holiday we want to make sure you have made your dinner reservations. There will be a limited number of restaurants open for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so we suggest you plan ahead! Please call our concierges (Amanda and Joanie) at 928.282.3072, they will be happy to make the reservations for you. They can also help you with all your vacation needs from tours to events, to great places to hike. Our Complimentary Shuttle will be available for all of our guests this week including Christmas day, so let us do the driving and you do the celebrating. Have a wonderful week!

Red Rock Fantasy Returns to Tlaquepaque
December 1st, 2016 – January 1st, 2016
Nightly: Dusk to 9:00 pm
Red Rock FantasyNew lights, new location but the same great community event will return to Tlaquepaque this December! Enjoy walking through Tinsel Town and enjoy viewing community installations throughout the property. Sedona Parks and Recreations and Sedona Chamber of Commerce have partnered with Tlaquepaque to make this festive event bigger and better than ever. Free to the community stop by dusk to 9:00 pm nightly.
Each Friday evening during December enjoy favorite classic Holiday Movies sponsored by The Sedona Film Festival. Movie’s will be showing in our Patio Del Norte starting at Dusk.

  • December 23rd – Polar Express (2004) with animated The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
  • December 30th – It’s a Wonderful Life (1947) with animated Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer

Free Trolley will be available on the weekends in December from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm (No Trolley on Christmas weekend). For more information please visit the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. If you are a guest of the Best Western Plus Inn of Sedona, we will be more than happy to drop you off at this event and pick you up when you are ready to return in our Complimentary “About Town” Shuttle.

Baby Grand Night featuring Paolo Scardina

paolo5Sound Bites Grill is pleased to present Paolo Scardina playing his favorite Holiday Tunes on the Baby Grand! Paolo moved to Sedona from Portland Oregon, in 2011 with a dream to sing “jazz in an exotic city, and Sedona is plenty “exotic”! The dream to be a Sedona jazz musician came true almost instantly. He has been singing around town in places like Studio Live, Mary Fisher Theater, Sedona Performing Arts Center, The Creative Life Center, Red’s Lounge, Sound Bites Grill, Mesa Grill, Ken’s Creek Side, Market Place Café, Rene’s, and plenty of private parties and fundraisers. Red Rock State Park – Guided Bird Walk
December 21st, 2016 (9:00 am)
The program is included with the park admission
HOME_653Bird enthusiasts can join a naturalist for a “Guided Bird Walk”. Beginning as well as advanced birders are welcome. Rangers recommend that visitors bring their own binoculars. A limited number are available for loan from the Park. No matter the time of day, visitors can check out the many birds who make Red Rock State Park their home. The bird-feeding area behind the visitor center, on the Hummingbird Patio, is an excellent spot to start your tour or to take pictures.For more information on this Sedona hike please visit Red Rock State Park.

Sedona Entertainment: Nicki Park “Christmas Special”

nickiSound Bites Grill is pleased to present the Nicki Park “Christmas Special”Nicki Park is a singer, songwriter, performer and speaker. She is currently pitching music of various genres to the music industry including, pop, country, christian, t.v./movie themes, and commercials. Nicki grew up in Oklahoma and began playing piano at the age of four. She began playing and singing in church at a very young age as well. Influenced by many christian and pop artists, she began writing music as a teenager. She now resides in Arizona and released her album “Better Than Yesterday” in 2008. We’ll take you anywhere within Sedona proper in our 12 passenger air conditioned van, then just call us and we’ll come back and pick you up! This free shuttle service is available to all of our guests from 8:00 am until last pick up at 9:45 pm.
