Verde River Day in Cottonwood, AZ
September 27th, 2014
Have some outdoor family fun at Dead Horse Ranch State Park during Verde River Day taking place this coming Saturday, September 27th, 2014! The activities on Verde River Day promote preservation and care of the environment by showcasing informative exhibits on the Verde River’s riparian habitat. Enjoy some quality time with the family while enjoying fishing, canoeing and live entertainment.
The Celebration begins at 9:00 am with activities, nature based exhibits, a variety of live animals, canoe rides (with or without assistance), sandcastle building and of course fishing for catfish in the lagoon! We also highly suggest taking a nature hike, along the river, where you will find beautiful large Cottonwoods. My family, enjoys hiking the Forest Loop Trail, part of the Ditch Trail and we usually end the day with the Verde River Greenway Trail. If you would like to learn more about the park or this special family event please visit the Dead Horse Ranch State Park website. Hope to see you there!
