What a great weekend to be visiting Sedona, AZ and the Verde Valley! We are going to be experiencing some hot weather in the red rocks but to go along with the heat there are going to be some event hotter events! Don’t miss the Third Annual Tilted Earth Wine & Music Festival at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood, AZ. The Festival kicks off with a special Wine Dinner at the Blazin M Ranch from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on the 16th followed by the main festival on the 17th and 18th. The festival will feature an amazing line up of live entertainment including Decker, Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, Dry River Yacht Club, Taj Mahal and more! Wine lovers can enjoy vino from 17 Northern Arizona wineries, along with cuisine from eight gourmet food trucks from the Phoenix Street Food Coalition. The event will also features Extreme Sports – BMX Impact of StuntMasters will be ripping it up throughout the evening, a special Kidzone, gaming area, art and more!. Each Adult Admission Ticket Includes FIVE Wine Tasting Tickets. Beer will be sold for cash. Additional tastings will be available for purchase, as will bottles from all wineries. The event will be held at the Riverfront Park in beautiful Cottonwood, AZ (see map below). Guided Archaeology Hike

Red Rock State Park has been a destination for Native Americans for several millennia. Most of the ancient features found in the park are from the Sinagua culture dating about 1100 to 1425 AD. Come and hear the fascinating story of the pre-Columbian people who lived and traveled in the park! The hike will identify the various archaeological features and interpret them into the wider context of important regional Sinagua sites. Explore ideas of other cultures that may likely have made use of the park’s resources. The hike will last about two hours, with an elevation gain of some 250 feet, along easy trails.
