Potter’s Hand Productions
“Pilgrimage to Bethlehem” – Free Community Event!
December 20th – 22nd, 2013

Pilgramige to BethlehemVisit Sedona, Arizona this coming weekend and take a journey back in time with Potter’s Hand Productions when they present the free event “Pilgrimage to Bethlehem” at the Tequa Festival Marketplace from Friday, December 20th through Sunday, December 22nd, 2013.

Experience the past as you stroll through the streets of Bethlehem as it appeared 2000 years ago. The festival starts with the blowing of a horn, traditionally that of a ram called a shofar. As you stroll the streets, bands of travelers will greet you with a smile and a handful of shekels (a form of currency from ancient times).

There will be vendors in the Bethlehem market from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm showing off their fine wares, shepherds will be out with their sheep and goats, villagers will be out to be counted for the census as imposing Roman soldiers march through the streets. As the sun sets (5:00 pm), the costumed singers will take to the courtyard with the Christmas story. Come early, to watch the miracle unfold!  This truly is an adventure into the past and will leave you feeling as if you were actually there 2000 years ago.
