This is the perfect weekend to take a spur of the moment trip to Sedona, AZ! Beautiful weather and fun events are what it is all about this weekend in the red rocks. If you love the blues, Olde Sedona Bar and Grill is the place to be on Friday night when the “Rocking Blues Band” Blues Dawg takes the Stage at 9pm! Saturday is jammed packed, the Sedona St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival will be taking place along with Family Archaeology Day at Red Rock State Park, Living History Mountain Man Camp at the V Bar V Heritage Site, Sedona Arts and Crafts Show in West Sedona and legendary guitarist Esteban will be playing at Sound Bites Grill!

If you love the blues you do not want to miss the popular rocking blues band – Blues Dawg at Olde Sedona Bar and Grill. Blues Dawg is a contemporary electric blues band steeped in the traditions of American blues and roots music, a seasoned and professional band of musicians with decades of performance experience, including most of the venues throughout Sedona and the Verde Valley. 45th Annual Sedona St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival
March 14th, 2015 (10:30 am – 3:00 pm)
Don’t miss the Sedona St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival taking place on and along Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona. Parade entrants include dignitaries and civic, social, cultural and religious organizations with area businesses. The Festival begins immediately following the parade, featuring live entertainment, free children’s and family activities, food booths and a Beer Garden until 3:00 pm. Both are free to attend. Family Archeology Day-Saturday
March 14th, 2015 (10:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Looking for something to do with the whole family that’s not just educational, but fun? Red Rock State Park’s Connections Program will be hosting a Family Archeology Program. The program will consist of two different educational activities. One activity will focus on the science of archeology with a hands on excavation experience in the park’s interpretive ‘dig site’, while the other group will hit the trails for an anthropologically focused educational hike. The Connection Program has been developed for students from first through twelfth grade in order to provide field activities in a natural environment. Living History Mountain Man Camp
March 14th – 15th, 2015 (9:30 am – 3:00 pm)
Visit a living history Mountain Man Camp at the V Bar V Heritage Site. Learn about the early 1800’s history of this region from the point of view of mountain men who were exploring, fur trapping and trading. See demonstrations of natural hide tanning and learn about native plants and wildlife. See and learn about petroglyphs that were made by over 700 years ago. Sedona Arts and Crafts Show
