The Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour receptions and exhibits give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene.
Below you will find a few of the exhibits and receptions taking place during the First Friday Gallery Tour, to see a full listing of participating galleries please visit the Sedona Gallery Association. For your convenience, the Sedona Trolley provides free transportation to venture from art gallery to art gallery. We also offer our guest free shuttle service to uptown Sedona and the Tlaquepaque Arts and Craft Village. All of the exhibits and artist receptions for 1st Friday run from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

This Friday evening, during the Sedona Gallery Association Gallery Tour,join the Goldenstein Gallery for the opening reception of “The Current” an exhibition that celebrates a stunning array of art from winning gallery artists who have captivated and inspired collectors from around the globe. Their amazing talent features art that is full of color, motion, and a fresh sensibility that is fun yet sophisticated. Some of the artists highlighted are deeply rooted in tradition, while other artists flourish with new styles capturing the imaginations of today. “A New Light on Ancient Traditions” at Rowe Fine Art Gallery
Sue Krzyston will be at Rowe Fine Art Gallery to discuss her art, her technique and her collection during a special show titled “A New Light on Ancient Traditions.” She welcomes the opportunity to meet with art lovers. During the March show – her third at Rowe Fine Art Gallery – Sue will debut her latest still-life oil paintings. Her subject matter ranges from pottery and beadwork, to moccasins and weavings. Each work of art highlights the texture, light and three-dimensional effect that have made Sue’s paintings sought after by collectors from all over the world. During March’s “1st Friday Gallery Tour” event in Sedona visitors can enjoy new paintings just in from Sharon Weiser.Known for her dynamic cactus compositions, Weiser uses great skill and a bright palette to capture all the intensity of desert life. Working from her own photographs Weiser combines, edits and repositions until all the elements of each canvas are precisely arranged. A painting may focus on a dramatic blossom or may be richly populated with a variety of cactus types, all perfectly grouped and presented in colors that accentuate every subtle shade the eye sees. Mountain Trails Gallery invites you to meet the Grand Canyon 7 artists in person at this spring celebration of new paintings by a group of artists dedicated to painting the majesty and splendor of the Grand Canyon. All these award-winning artists bring their latest experiences and visions to light in 30 new oil paintings of their beloved Canyon as well as landscapes and figures from the West. The Grand Canyon 7 exhibition opens with a reception for the artists on First Friday, March 1st, 2013, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Marshall Noice: Brilliant Hues
Lanning Gallery begins its exciting spring season with this new exhibition and a weekend of activity. During First Friday Evening in the Gallery Tour Noice will be on-hand from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm to meet visitors and answer questions and returns the following two days to paint at the gallery from 1:00 pm -5:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday. For Marshall Noice interpreting landscapes has always been a draw even throughout his twenty-three years as a professional photographer. The Jerome Art Walk keeps its momentum going on March 2nd, approaching the spring season with more artistic energy and wonderful talent than ever before. Every first Saturday, the creative community of Jerome is pleased to host an evening of art, music and entertainment with open studios and galleries displaying local, regional and national artistic treasures. New members have joined the group and are planning special events throughout the town on March 2nd from 5:00 to 8:00PM. A free shuttle runs during the event.
