    The “Free2BU” Festival roars to life on September 25th, at 6:00pm at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre in Sedona. Meet new friends, mingle with some festival entertainers, and personally thank their sponsors, while showing your support for LGBT rights! At 7:00 pm, Illuminate Film Festival favorite, Armen Ra takes the stage for a special limited engagement performance.
  • Tour the Pride Festival’s Victory Garden
    On September 26th and 27th, tour the Victory Garden at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood, just one of a weekend full of events at this year’s Pride Festival. Special “garden angels” will be on hand to give you free guided tours from 7:00 am -10:00 am, where you can cultivate your own gardening tips or taste the vibrant flavors of freshly picked seasonal vegetables.
  • 1st Annual Guilty Pleasures Fashion Show and Fundraiser (21+ Event,)
    This event takes place at 8:00pm on Friday the 26th, at Relics in Sedona. Show starts at 9:15pm.  $1=1 vote for your favorite. Highest votes win King and Queen titles! Fundraiser for Pride, sex education and AIDS research. There will be a $10 cover. 
  • Light Hike & Guided Meditation lead by Sherab “Shey” Khandro
    Enjoy a meditation and light hike, 8:00 am 9:30 am on September 27th, guided by celebrated artist and spiritual mentor, Sherab Khandro, starting at the trailhead of Thunder Mountain trail in Sedona.   • Free2BU Pride Festival and Equality Celebration
    The Free2BU Pride Festival and Equality Celebration will take place on September 27th from 11:00 am – 6:00pm in Old Town Cottonwood. Join us for a celebration of life, love, education, history and a brighter future for all! Guided Sedona Geology Hike at Red Rock State Park

Guided Geology Hikes are back at Red Rock State Park for the Fall Season!

Red Rock State Park Guided Sedona Geology Hike at Red Rock State ParkWe are excited to spread the word that Geology Hikes have returned to Red Rock State Park for the Fall season! Join the knowledgeable volunteers at Red Rock State Park this coming Sunday, September the 14th as they take you on an adventure on their beautiful trails while discussing how Sedona transformed into what we see today.

Red Rock State Park is located at the base of the Mogollon Rim, the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau. The escarpment is over 200 miles long and ranges in elevation from 2,000 to 3,000 feet. Over millions of years of erosion the rim has receded over four miles leaving behind the picturesque features of Sedona.

This is an interpretive experience for both the beginner and experienced hiker, lasting between 2-2 ½ hours and an elevation gain of 250 feet. The Hike will take place at 1:00 pm and Red Rock State Park would like to remind everyone to please wear suitable shoes and to bring water.

Red Rock State park is open 7 days a week, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and is located at 3807 Red Rock Loop Road. Entrance Fees: Adults (14 +) $5, Youth (7-13) $3, Children 6 and under are free. This treasured Arizona State Park offers guided hikes, bird walks, lectures and more through out the year. Every year visitors and locals fill up the village to enjoy the lively mariachis, the heart-pounding rhythms and beats of Flamenco dancers, and the mouth-watering tastes of Mexico! Continuing a long tradition of fabulous food, music, dance and entertainment for young and old, this year’s Fiesta promises to be extraordinary! Arts and crafts exhibits will abound offering a glimpse into the traditional and present artistry of Mexico.

This is a family fun free event. The festivities take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Festivities Schedule:

  • Mosaico Flamenco will perform in Patio Del Norte from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
  • Jaleo Band will perform in Patio Del Norte from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Ballet Folklorico de Colores will perform in Plaza De La Fuente at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.
  • Ritmo Latino will perform in Patio De Las Campanas from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
  • Mariachi La Familia Rojas will roam the streets of Tlaquepaque from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and also from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
  • There will be free face painting and Balloon Twisting for children and adults in the Calle Independencia from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
