Red Rock State Park – Daily Naturalist Hike
Every Morning (10:00 am)
Included with Park Entrance Fees
Every morning a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park. The subjects discussed on this walk include geology, wildlife, history, archaeology, and plant life. Our naturalists welcome questions during the walk, enhancing the learning experience. Sedona’s 1st Friday Evening in the Galleries
September 1st, 2017 (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
The Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour receptions and exhibits give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene and in many cases meeting the artist themselves. Red Rock Ranger District – Fee Free Days
September 2nd – 4th, 2017
Each year, the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest waives fees associated with many recreation sites and amenities to celebrate national holidays and events. On “fee-free” days, fees are waived for all Red Rock Pass Fee Program sites including Palatki, Honanki, V Bar V heritage sites, and multiple trailheads. Please note the heritage sites are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days. View from Bear Mountain Trail, climbing to second bench areas not included in the fee waiver program are campgrounds and recreation sites managed under concession contract, including Grasshopper Point, Crescent Moon Ranch and West Fork (Call of the Canyon). Montezuma Castle National Monument
Jerry Whagado Silversmith Demonstration

Montezuma Castle National Monument will host monthly demonstrations by two-time award winner of the Santa Fe Indian Market “Best in Show”, Jerry Whagado. Of Western Apache descent, Mr. Whagado was raised on the Hopi Mesas. His jewelry combines Hopi silver overlay with Apache designs and symbolism. The demonstrations will be from 10am-1pm on the first Saturday of each month, through December of 2017. Jerome Art Walk

Once again, the magical mountain town will be hosting a night filled with art, music and refreshments galore. Art Walk is the only night that galleries are open from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Members like Nellie Bly by the Spirit Room, Patrick Lincoln in The New State Motor Company and Flux Gallery in the Old Jerome High School all bring a fresh energy to the vibrant art scene in Jerome. With 22 participating galleries and studios and many sponsoring businesses and restaurants offering specials, this is a festive night in Jerome.
