Kick off your weekend exploring the dynamic galleries of Sedona, AZ during the 1st Friday Gallery Tour! We would like to highly suggest making it a point to visit the Rowe Fine Art Gallery in Tlaquepaque for their “Hidden Worlds” Exhibit featuring Bronze Wildlife Sculptor Kim Kori! Kim is renowned for her ability to sculpt Mother Nature’s smallest creatures, but she’s also fascinated by the worlds they inhabit.

For your convenience, the Sedona Trolley provides free transportation to venture from art gallery to art gallery. If you are staying at the Best Western Plus Inn of Sedona, we also offer our guest free shuttle service to uptown Sedona and the Tlaquepaque Arts and Craft Village. All of the exhibits and artist receptions for 1st Friday run from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

“Confluence of Color”

sedona arts centerSedona Arts Center’s fine art gallery continues to showcase the most diverse and interesting local art around, and the November exhibition is no exception. “Confluence of Color” opens with the First Friday reception. The public is invited to meet and learn about some truly remarkable local creative people. The exhibition features painters ML Coleman, Christine Debrosky, and Julie Gilbert Pollard, and sculpture and mixed-media artists Deanne and Byron McKeown. “Master Jeweler Michael Grant: New Works”

Lanning Gallery in Sedona, Arizona welcomes back Master Jeweler Michael Grant for the annual exhibition that his collectors look forward to each year. Always noted for the top quality of his stones, particularly domestic turquoise, Michael Grant continues to hand cut each of his beads, from the tiniest bead to the most significant cabochons. “Hidden Worlds” at Rowe Fine Art Gallery

kim-kori-3Rowe Fine Art Gallery invites you to celebrat Sedona artist Kim Kori, renowned for her ability to sculpt Mother Nature’s smallest creatures, but she’s also fascinated by the worlds they inhabit. At the gallery, Kim will unveil new sculptures including a monumental version of her Amore piece, which depicts a love-struck frog. The 4.5-foot bronze was commissioned by one of Kim’s collectors who now has a total of five of her monumental bronze frogs. Kim is also excited to share Sheltered, the sculpture she revealed at her 2015 show. Sheltered has since been cast in bronze, and it portrays a mother mouse with her babies wrapped up in a sycamore leaf. The piece is a follow up to Kim’s popular Fall into Sleep sculpture. Art lovers can also look forward to the finished clay version of Moonlight, which pays tribute to a tiny screech owl that lives at a wildlife rescue center in Cornville, along with a new piece Kim has just started. A gifted artist, Nevado’s first love remains horses and she has been a long-time breeder of Andalusians, also known as the “Pure Spanish Horse” or PRE (Pura Raza Española). It is her intimate familiarity with these magnificent creatures that allows Elena Nevado to capture their freedom and power on canvas. Once again, the magical mountain town will be hosting a night filled with art, music and refreshments galore. The Art Walk is the only night that galleries are open from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Members like Nellie Bly by the Spirit Room, Patrick Lincoln in The New State Motor Company and Flux Gallery in the Old Jerome High School all bring a fresh energy to the vibrant art scene in Jerome. With 22 participating galleries and studios and many sponsoring businesses and restaurants offering specials, this is a festive night in Jerome.
