February in Sedona brings Fun Festivals and Events
Wow, it is hard to believe that we are already into the 2nd month of the New Year! February in Sedona can be a little unpredictable with the weather, we will have sunny days, maybe some rain and every now and then a possibility of snow, but one thing for sure, Sedona offers some fun events and great festivals all through the month. From the Yoga Festival, to the Chocolate Lovers Festival, from the 5th Lunar New Year Festival to the big ticket February event – the Sedona International Film Festival!
Along with all of these great festivals, the popular Guided Geology Hike at Red Rock State Park returns this month, a special Valentine’s Day Jazz concert at the Church and so much more! Sedona’s 1st Friday Evening in the Galleries
February 6th, 2015
The Sedona’s First Friday Gallery Tour receptions and exhibits give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene and in many cases meeting the artist themselves. Sedona Guided Geology Hike
February 8th, 2015 (1:00 pm)
Join Red Rock State Park’s knowledgeable volunteers as they venture out on their trails and discuss how Sedona transformed into what we see today. Red Rock State Park is located at the base of the Mogollon Rim, the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau. Over millions of years of erosion the rim has receded over four miles leaving behind the picturesque features of Sedona. This is an interpretive experience for both the beginner and experienced hiker, lasting between 2-2 ½ hours and an elevation gain of 250 feet. Please bring water and wear suitable footwear. Verde Canyon Railroad‘s Chocolate Lovers’ Festival
February 13th – 15th, 2015 (Clarkdale, AZ)
This delectable affair is one of the most popular Verde Canyon Railroad events. It blends the rich flavors of everything sweet with magnificent vistas of raw, unspoiled nature. The confectionery celebration fills each car with intoxicating scents and tasty chocolate pastries, cakes and luscious hand-dipped delicacies. Valentine’s Day Wine & Chocolate Walk
February 14th, 2015 (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
The Shops at Piñon Pointe will be hosting a Wine & Chocolate Walk! Enjoy a delicious stroll through the plaza with select stores featuring bites of gourmet chocolates, great Valentines gift ideas, and wine tasting. Teresa Joy, daughter of world famous flamenco guitarist Esteban will be playing in the courtyard near Chicos and Esteban will be making a cameo appearance around 2:00 pm. 5th Lunar New Year Festival in Sedona
February 14th, 2015 (11:00 am – 3:00 pm)
The Sedona Korean-American Association will host the fifth annual Lunar New Year Festival. This unique opportunity for cultural exchange will offer traditional Asian food, games, performances, fortune telling and New Year blessings for all visitors and residents of Sedona. Sedona Jazz at the Church: Valentine Jazz

Enjoy a wonderful afternoon of Jazz in the red rocks of Sedona! “Valentine Jazz” at the church will feature the Dmitri Matheny Group: Dmitri Matheny, Flugelhorn Steve Sandner, Piano and Ted Sistrunk, Double Bass. 19th Annual Sedona International Film Festival
February 21st – March 1st, 2015
Join filmmakers, celebrities, industry guests and film buffs from all around the world as Sedona, Arizona takes center stage with its biggest celebration of film yet, the 21st Annual Sedona International Film Festival! The Sedona International Film Festival celebrates more than 21 years of screenings and educational workshops. In that history, the Festival has achieved recognition as a world-class film festival. Each year, audiences and the next generation of filmmakers come together from all over the world to participate in this inspiring celebration of the power of independent film.
