We would like to take a  moment to remind our Inn of Sedona guest that are attending the festival that our Complimentary “About Town” Shuttle will be more than happy to drop you off and pick you up at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre and the Sedona Performing Arts Center (main venues for the film festival).

Sedona Entertainment: Anthony Mazzella’s Guitar Legends Show

Anthony-Mazzella-posterLegends Of Guitar is a tribute show to famous guitar players and their music. The show features world renowned guitar virtuoso Anthony Mazzella who plays it all live. Legends Of Guitar reaches a very broad audience given the diversity of artists it pays tribute to. People love guitar music and are fanatical about the bands they play in. This show features the technical skills of the greatest guitarists and the music from some of the biggest bands. This live event will take place at Sedona’s Sound Bites Grill. Live in Concert – Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers

Bruce-Hornsby-teaserThree-time Grammy Award-winner Bruce Hornsby will open the 2017 Sedona International Film Festival with a performance with his band The Noisemakers at the Sedona Performing Arts Center. Hornsby’s work displays a creative iconoclasm that’s been a constant in the artist’s three-decade recording career. His commercial stock soared early on, when “The Way It Is”, the title track of his 1986 debut album, became one of the most popular songs on American radio. VIP tickets for the best seats at SPAC and a backstage meet-and-greet with Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers before the concert are $100. Only 50 VIP tickets will be sold. Please note: No phone orders will be taken because all ticket buyers must select their seats at the time of purchase. All concertgoers must have a ticket for entry. Sedona International Film Festival passes and ticket packages will not provide concert access. This is a separate-ticketed event. Tom Tayback will guide you on this trip down Memory Lane with tributes to Rock ‘n’ Roll legends like Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, Little Richard, The Coasters, Fats Domino, Sam The Sham and more. Guided Archaeology Hike
February 19th, 2017 (1:00 pm)

RERO_ArchHikeRed Rock State Park has been a destination for Native Americans for several millennia. Most of the ancient features found in the park are from the Sinagua culture dating about 1100 to 1425 AD. Come and hear the fascinating story of the pre-Columbian people who lived and traveled in the park! The hike will identify the various archaeological features and interpret them into the wider context of important regional Sinagua sites. Explore ideas of other cultures that may likely have made use of the park’s resources. The hike will last about two hours, with an elevation gain of some 250 feet, along easy trails. McLean Meditation Institute – Guided Meditation
Sarah McLean & expert meditation mentors
February 19th, 2017 (2:00 pm – 3:00 pm)
meditation-CDEveryone is welcome to join the discussion and introduction to meditation and mindfulness with an expert meditation mentor including Sarah McLean, Devani Page, Eva Maurice, and Joy Nanda. Each week a different meditation is offered, including Loving Kindness Meditation, Mindfulness, Visualization, Breath Awareness, Body Appreciation, Chakra Meditation, or Gratitude Meditation. No experience is necessary to attend. Walk ins welcome, though you must arrive on time to participate and be 13 or older. $5 donation. This event takes place at the McLean Meditation Institute, 411 State Route 179 (at the junction of 179 & Schnebly Hill Road) in Sedona.
