Red Rock State Park – Guided Bird Walk

HOME_653Bird enthusiasts can join a naturalist for a “Guided Bird Walk”. Beginning as well as advanced birders are welcome. Rangers recommend that visitors bring their own binoculars. A limited number are available for loan from the Park. No matter the time of day, visitors can check out the many birds who make Red Rock State Park their home. The bird-feeding area behind the visitor center, on the Hummingbird Patio, is an excellent spot to start your tour or to take pictures.For more information on this Sedona hike please visit Red Rock State Park.

Sedona Entertainment: Anthony Mazzella’s Guitar Legends Show

Legends Of Guitar reaches a very broad audience given the diversity of artists it pays tribute to. People love guitar music and are fanatical about the bands they play in. This show features the technical skills of the greatest guitarists and the music from some of the biggest bands. This live event will take place at Sedona’s Sound Bites Grill. Guided Ethnobotany of Sedona Hike

Learning more about the native plants and trees here in the Sedona area is a great way to enhance any hike! Our volunteer naturalist will explain how plants were used for various reasons by local indigenous cultures and by people in our contemporary times. This interpretive experience is for both the beginner and experienced hiker, lasting between 2-2 ½ hours with an elevation gain of 250 feet. Please bring water and wear suitable footwear. Guided Meditation with Sarah McLean & expert meditation mentors
November 27th, 2016 (2:00 pm – 2:45 pm)
meditation-CDDuring the 45-minute program, simple meditation guidance is given–each week a different meditation is offered such as a Loving Kindness Meditation, Mindfulness, Visualization, Breath Awareness, or Gratitude Meditation. No experience is necessary to attend. Walk ins welcome, though you must arrive on time to participate and be 13 or older. $5 donation. Fisher Theatre. The Royal Shakespeare Company’s extraordinary new production of “King Lear” makes its Sedona big-screen debut on Sunday, Nov. 27. The Sedona International Film Festival hosts the high-definition premiere of William Shakespeare’s renowned play from its home in Stratford-Upon-Avon. There will be one show at 3 p.m. at the festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Antony Sher returns to the RSC to play King Lear, one of the greatest parts written by Shakespeare in this, one of Shakespeare’s most epic and powerful plays. One of our greatest Shakespearean actors, in one of Shakespeare’s greatest parts, directed by the internationally acclaimed Gregory Doran.
