Sedona Railroaders: Christmas Model Train Show
December 17th – 30th, 2016 (11:00 am – 4:00 pm)

The Sedona Railroaders are proud to present their Annual Christmas Model Train Show at the Basha’s Shopping Center in West Sedona! This year’s exhibit will include a large G scale and standard gauge layout and an extensive American Flyer S scale layout, a large O scale layout and some HO scale layouts. Two prize drawings include a pair of tickets on the Verde Canyon Railroad and two separate pair of tickets on the Grand Canyon Railroad. Holiday Sweet Stroll at Tlaquepaque

Cottonwood, AZ – Winter Solstice Concert

This year’s Annual Old Town Center for the Arts “Winter Solstice Concert” will feature some of the world’s favorite Christmas melodies, original songs and a special visual, musical tribute to honor our indigenous ancestors, in observation of the ancient winter solstice ritual. For this special event, OTCA Co-Director William Eaton will be joined by Robin Miller, Susannah Martin and Patrick Ki, who are collectively known as the MMK Trio, and special guest flutist Claudia Tulip. This event will take place at Old Town Center for the Arts located 5th and Main Street in Cottonwood, AZ. Ballet in Cinema:’The Nutcracker’

The Sedona International Film Festival presents Ballet in Cinema when it hosts the big screen premiere of “The Nutcracker” from the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Christmas would not be complete without the enchanting tale of young Marie and her Nutcracker prince! E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairytale staged by Russian ballet master Yuri Grigorovich will transport children and adults alike to a world of magic and wonder for the holiday season. This beloved holiday classic will enchant the whole family with its fairytale setting and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. The Bolshoi’s version of “The Nutcracker” has a unique and beautiful sense of romance and philosophy.
