Holiday Events and Family Fun in the Red Rocks

All of us at the Inn of Sedona would like to welcome all of our guests and visitors to the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona! We love the holiday season and the joy and happiness it brings, we hope you all have a wonderful visit and get to enjoy some of the holiday events taking place this weekend!

Kick off your weekend of holiday fun with the country’s largest 3D holiday light show “Sedona Northern Lights”!  There will be viewing areas throughout Uptown Sedona and Gallery Row. Celebrate Sedona’s beauty, arts, dark skies and stunning landscapes with the largest 3D mapping project ever done on a natural canvas.  Other holiday events taking place this weekend: Holiday Model Train Show, Holiday Sweet Stroll at Tlaquepaque, Jazzy Little Christmas, and Ballet in Cinema:’The Nutcracker’ from the Bolshoi Ballet!

Celebrate the holiday season in Sedona, and witness the country’s largest 3D holiday light show in The Most Beautiful Place on Earth. For 4 days only, don’t miss this once in a lifetime chance to see this spectacular light event and celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Sedona Arts Center. There will be viewing areas throughout Uptown Sedona and Gallery Row. Annual Holiday Model Train Show
December 15th – 30th, 2017 (11:00 am – 4:30 pm)
Closed December 24th and 25th

The Sedona Railroaders will kick off the holiday season on December 15th! This traditional holiday event will take place in the Sedona Vista Village Mall in the Village of Oak Creek on the corner of Highway 179 and Jacks Canyon Road. This year’s exhibit will include an American Flyer S gauge layout. G, O, N, and HO gauges will also be on display. Two drawings will be held during the course of the event. Prizes include a pair of tickets on the Verde Canyon Railroad and two separate pair of tickets on the Grand Canyon Railroad. For more information please visit Sedona Railroaders on Facebook.

Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village
Holiday Sweet Stroll
December 16th, 2017 (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm)
Discover unique gifts, and strolling carolers at the Holiday Sweet Stroll taking place at the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. The retailers will have their doors open till 7:00 pm and celebrate the holidays with sweet treats, special give-a-ways, and discount offers. Featuring some of the best boutiques, galleries and restaurants in Sedona, you are sure to find some special presents for those on your gift list. Sedona Jazz at the Church: Jazzy Little Christmas
December 17th, 2017 (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
Tickets: $15
It that time for the annual “Have Yourself A Jazzy Little Christmas” concert, this year featuring pianist Steve Sander, with bassist Zach Carson, percussionist Ron James and friends. Great Christmas music ala “Jazz” flavorings… what could be better than that! Bring your sleigh bells, and we’ll see you there! This concert will take place at the beautiful Saint Luke’s Church located On Hwy 179 between Back ‘O Beyond & Chapel Road “Roundabouts”. All tickets are General Admission, and are available online. Ballet in Cinema:’The Nutcracker’

Come and experience a holiday treasure! The Sedona International Film Festival presents Ballet in Cinema when it hosts the big screen encore of “The Nutcracker” from the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow. There will be one show at the festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Christmas would not be complete without the enchanting tale of young Marie and her Nutcracker prince! E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairytale staged by Russian ballet master Yuri Grigorovich will transport children and adults alike to a world of magic and wonder for the holiday season. Tchaikovsky’s treasured holiday masterpiece, “The Nutcracker” features choreography by Yuri Grigorovich. Principal dancers include Anna Nikulina (Marie), Denis Rodkin (The Nutcracker Prince), Andrei Merkuriev (Drosselmeyer) and Vitaly Biktimirov (The Mouse King), along with the Bolshoi Corps de Ballet. Tom Tayback and the Daddy O’s Rock’n Roll Christmas Show
December 16th, 2017 (7:00 pm – 8:30 pm)

Sound Bites Grill is pleased to present the “Graffiti Gold 50’s & 60’s Rock and Roll Show” featuring Tom Tayback & The Daddy O’s!Recalling the good old days of Sock Hops and Soda Shops with Juke Boxes playing 45 Records. Tom Tayback will guide you on this trip down Memory Lane with tributes to Rock ‘n’ Roll legends like Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, Little Richard, The Coasters, Fats Domino, Sam The Sham and more.
