St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

The Parade begins at Jordan Historical Park and makes its way along Jordan Road to Mesquite Avenue. Bring your chairs early to set up along the Parade route on Jordan Road; note that the Master of Ceremonies and Parade Judges are located along Jordan Road near the corner of Mesquite Avenue.

This year’s Parade Grand Marshals are the Sedona Volunteer Park Rangers. The parade entries include dignitaries, color guards, bagpipers, bands, dance troupes, businesses, and local social, cultural, civic, and religious organizations from all across Northern Arizona. They come on foot, horseback, and in vehicles of all sorts.

The Festival immediately follows the Parade and continues until 3:00 pm. Stay to enjoy the free festivities! The Festival will be located next to the end of the parade route on Apple Ave. between Cedar Street and Jordan Rd. There will be live music and a multitude of family and children’s activities available free of charge! Of course there will be refreshments at the Beer Garden sponsored by Oak Creek Brewing Company, as well as a food cart by Smitty’s Hotdogs and a sweet treats booth by Sedona Fudge Company.

A World Trade Center artifact will be on display at the Festival. The Sedona Fire District is bringing this memorial girder from one of the Twin Towers, a five-and-a-half foot long, 3,000 pound piece of steel. Come view this static display to get a close-up look prior to its placement in a 9/11 Memorial Plaza at Fire Station # 6 to honor the 2,996 lives that were lost.

These festivities are free to the public and are presented by Sedona Main Street Program with the Sedona Green Team and NAU Parks and Recreation Management Program. For updates, or more information please visit the Sedona Main Street Program website and visit the Main Street Program on Facebook,  or call 928.204.2390 .
