Red Rock Artists Open Studio Tour
November 27th – 28th, 2015
Self Guided Tour (10:00 am – 5:00 pm)
An exciting new group of professional artists in Sedona and Cornville are opening their private studios to show their latest work. Visitors can talk with the artists, experience their working environments and purchase art, all while enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Verde Valley, touring from one studio to the next. There will be a wide variety of mediums including: glass, ceramics, painting, mixed media, fiber, photography, jewelry, and watercolor. Brochures with a complete list of participating artists, including a map will be available at many locations around the Verde Valley, including hotels and restaurants, as well as the Sedona Arts Center and the Sedona Chamber’s Visitor Center in Uptown. Red Rock State Park – Guided Bird Walk

Bird enthusiasts can join a naturalist for a “Guided Bird Walk”. Beginning as well as advanced birders are welcome. Rangers recommend that visitors bring their own binoculars. A limited number are available for loan from the Park. No matter the time of day, visitors can check out the many birds who make Red Rock State Park their home. The bird-feeding area behind the visitor center, on the Hummingbird Patio, is an excellent spot to start your tour or to take pictures.For more information on this Sedona hike please visit Red Rock State Park.

Jerome Lights up the Mountain

Thanksgiving weekend will be a perfect time to see the decorations and start the holiday season! Saturday, beginning in the afternoon, Mingus Union High School students will serenade throughout the town in preparation for a special visitor coming to throw the switch for the annual holiday lights in the upper park of Jerome. The Mingus Union Band and Choir will be performing through out the day and at 5:30, a special reading of The Night Before Christmas will taking place the upper park. Bring the kids and take a photo with Santa at The Old Fire Station on Main Street. At 5:00 pm, the town will glow with the lights of 500 luminaria and then Santa will flip the switch to reveal the holiday light display at 6:00 pm in the upper park. Anthony Mazzella In Concert

Guitar Wizard, Anthony Mazzella, will be performing a concert of his beautiful original music on guitar and piano in the Great Room at the Sedona Creative Life Center. This is a peaceful theater setting to sit and listen to his heavenly vibrations without distraction. Anthony is an internationally acclaimed virtuoso of the guitar who began his performance career as a concert guitarist in New York City. He’s an accomplished actor, recreating a legendary character. Chance’s secret is believing that it’s not always the voice, that plays the most important part, but it’s knowing exactly how to become the man himself on that stage! Their will be two shows: Dinner Show starts seating at 5:00pm and show starts at 7:00pm, Late Show seating starts at 8:30pm and show starts at 9:00pm. “Dough” is returning to Sedona for encore screenings by popular demand after a sold out premiere as the opening night film of the recent Fall FilmFest earlier this month. Jonathan Pryce stars as an old Jewish baker whose faltering business is inadvertently saved by his young Muslim apprentice in the British dramedy “Dough”.
